It’s true. I love breakfast foods. I probably love breakfast because it’s the only meal of the day where it’s socially acceptable to eat dessert as the actual meal. I mean, come on people, donuts=dessert, cinnamon rolls=dessert, pastries=dessert. You get the idea. I have a few breakfast favorites that I normally eat including vegan overnight oats and cereal (usually some type of cheerios) topped with yogurt. Sometimes I get tired of those though and decide to explore the vast array of other breakfast options. Today I had a delicious smoothie. It was surprisingly filling and kept me satisfied until lunch. It’s also super simple! This smoothie actually has more of a milkshake consistency. It’s so creamy and yummy, I want another one just thinking about it!
This smoothie makes a great breakfast, but it would also be great along side a meal at a hot summer cookout. The only ingredients you need are ripe bananas and milk (I use almond milk because it has a slightly sweet flavor). This smoothie is absolutely fabulous on its own. However, you could spice it up by adding some peanut butter, nutella, or chocolate syrup.
Banana Smoothie/Milkshake
serves 1
1 overripe banana, chopped into pieces, and frozen overnight
enough milk to reach desired consistency (I use about 1 cup, but you can make it thicker or thinner depending on your preference)
In a blender, blend milk and frozen banana until smooth. Enjoy!
Also, if your bananas aren’t super ripe, you can still make this smoothie! You should just taste it once it’s made and add sugar/splenda until it’s sweet enough for you.
XOXO,
Jamie

Sounds cool
I totally agree, I love breakfasts, and probably for the same reason that you do too, just that I didn’t actually notice until you actually laid it out for me
I sometimes cut or break an over-ripe banana into pieces and pour warm vanilla soy milk over it, mash it up roughly with a fork and eat it with a spoon like a dessert soup!! A sprinkle of cinnamon goes amazing with it too. I usually use skim milk in most of my recipes, but warm dairy milk sometimes makes my stomach feel queasy so I go easy with the soy alternative
